Day 1: Awe-Inspiring Paro and Thimphu Exploration

Embark on a breathtaking journey as you board a flight to Paro, renowned for its stunning mountain vistas. Gaze upon the majestic peaks of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makula, Jomolhari, Jichu Drakey, and Tserim Gang during your flight. Upon arrival, our representative will warmly welcome you, and your adventure begins with a visit to the awe-inspiring Paro Rimpong Dzong. These remarkable fortress-monasteries, or dzongs, are the bedrock of Bhutanese culture, symbolizing law and order, peace, learning, and more. Paro Dzong, originally built in the 17th century, now serves as the district headquarters and a monastic center.

Following your exploration of Paro Dzong, hike down to the bridge and then journey to Thimphu for a restful overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2: Bhutanese Culture Immersion in Thimphu

After breakfast, venture 45 minutes north of Thimphu for a two-hour round-trip hike to the Tango Buddhist Institute, a sacred place founded in 1689 AD. Later, delve into Bhutan's rich cultural tapestry with visits to the Textile Museum, an archery range for a taste of the national sport, and the vibrant weekend market where locals sell their produce. Conclude the day with a comfortable hotel stay.

Day 3: Bhutan's Natural and Cultural Beauty

Pause at Dochula pass to admire 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens, symbols of Bhutan's spiritual and artistic heritage. Descend through changing vegetation and arrive at Punakha, home to the stunning Punakha Dzong, the winter residence of the Je Khenpo (Head Abbot). Explore further, crossing suspension bridges to Khamsum Yuley Namgyel temple, built for the current king. On the return journey, visit Chhi-med Lhakhang and delve into the lore of the "Divine Madman." Rest overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Enchanting Journey to Trongsa

Embark on a scenic 4-hour drive from Punakha to Trongsa, passing through Wangdue and ascending the Pelela pass. Witness Bhutan's ancient traditions and explore Trongsa Dzong, the ancestral home of the Royal Family. Discover the tower of Trongsa, a renovated watchtower now serving as the Royal Museum. Explore Trongsa's market and town in the evening before retiring to your hotel.

Day 5: Exploring Bhutan's Heartland in Bumthang

Drive to Bumthang via the Yotola high pass, where you'll encounter distinctive woolen weaves called yathra. Explore Jakar, home to Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, and Kurjey Lhakhang. Visit Tamshing Monastery and stroll through the charming town of Bumthang, known for its architecture and cozy cafes. Rest at your hotel.

Day 6: Heritage of Tang Valley

Journey through lush forests and terraced fields to explore Tang Rimochen Lhakhang, believed to date back to the 8th century. Visit the Ogyen Choling Museum to glimpse aristocratic life of the past and explore local farmhouses. Experience rural Bhutanese life and pick up woolen souvenirs. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 7: Discover Phobjikha Valley

Travel to Gangtey, where you'll visit Gangtey Gompa, home to Bhutanese art treasures. Hike through Phobjikha Valley, a haven for endangered Black-necked Cranes. Witness the valley's unique beauty and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 8: Dochula Pass and Lungchuzekha Temple

Pause at Dochula pass and trek to Lungchuzekha temple for stunning forest views. Journey onward to Paro, visiting the historic Simtokha dzong on the way. Experience a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath at a local farmhouse in the evening. Relax at your hotel.

Day 9: Journey to Haa Valley

Embark on an awe-inspiring drive to Haa, crossing Chela pass for panoramic mountain vistas. Visit Dzongdrakha village, perched on a cliff, and hike to Kila Gompa monastery. Explore the ancient temples of Lhakhang Karp and Lhakhang Nap in Haa Valley before returning to Paro for an overnight hotel stay.

Day 10: Trek to the Tiger's Nest

Embark on a spiritual and photographic adventure as you hike to Takshang, one of Buddhism's holiest sites. Explore the monastery and enjoy breathtaking views. Stop for lunch at the teahouse before visiting a local farmhouse for a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.
